For the oral history project, we today met with Rebecca to organise an advertisement draft copy to go in local newspapers. We wanted to grab the attention of readers that may be relevant to this project, so made sure to mention key words such as "lads club" and "Ardwick" etc. Also, I decided to steer clear of any terminology that may not be understood by some, for example 'oral history' should be replaced with 'interviews' as not to alienate any potential interviewee's. Similarly, I decided not to call ourselves 'students' due to the negative connotations, and instead use 'undergraduates' We looked at other similar examples in local newspapers for inspiration as we struggled to come up with any catchy 'headlines'. Also, we came across the issue of not being sure of the word count, but this will all be resolved and a second draft will soon be produced!
