I visited the Imperial War Museum today, partially for dissertation research but also because I can't believe I've lived in Manchester for over a year and still haven't been. I've nearly ticked off my museum to-do list now though!
It is in such a beautiful part of the city by the water and it is a fantastic museum, much better than what I expected.
War is not something I take great interest in studying but the way the artefacts are presented really grabs your interest, especially in the case of the brilliant 360 degree show where videos are projected onto the walls around you in the main exhibition space. I think I will definitely have to visit again soon as I was there hours and still didn't get to look at everything!
